Loan Calculator

Calculate your monthly loan payment, total interest payable and full amortization schedule.

A loan calculator shows what any loan really costs before you sign. Enter the amount, annual interest rate and term to see your exact monthly payment, how much interest you will pay in total, and a year-by-year amortization schedule.

Your results

Monthly payment—
Total interest—
Total payable—
Formula: EMI = P × r × (1+r)n ÷ ((1+r)n − 1), where P is the loan amount, r the monthly interest rate and n the number of monthly payments.

Worked example

Example: You borrow AED 100,000 at 5.5% annual interest for 5 years (60 payments). Your monthly payment is AED 1,910.12. Over the full term you repay AED 114,606.97 — of which AED 14,606.97 is interest.

Frequently asked questions

What is a loan calculator?

A loan calculator estimates your monthly payment, total interest and repayment schedule from the loan amount, interest rate and term — so you can compare offers before borrowing.

How is the monthly payment calculated?

Using the reducing-balance EMI formula. Each payment covers that month's interest first, and the rest reduces your principal.

What is an amortization schedule?

A table showing, for each period, how much of your payment goes to interest versus principal, and your remaining balance.

Does a longer term always cost more?

Yes — lower monthly payments, but you pay interest for longer, so the total interest is higher.

Are fees included?

No — processing fees, insurance and VAT are not included. Add them to the loan amount for a closer estimate.
