VAT and corporate tax for the UAE: add or strip 5% VAT, and estimate 9% corporate tax.
The UAE has no personal income tax, but two taxes do apply: 5% VAT on most goods and services, and 9% corporate tax on business profits above AED 375,000 per year. Use the VAT tool for prices and the corporate-tax tool for business profit.
Example: A AED 1,000 invoice excluding VAT becomes AED 1,050 with 5% VAT. A business with AED 500,000 annual profit pays 9% × (500,000 − 375,000) = AED 11,250 corporate tax.
